51-year-old Meyersdale man dies in multi-car collision in Friendsville, Maryland
A 51-year-old man from Meyersdale, Pennsylvania has lost his life in an automobile accident involving three cars that happened near Friendsville in Maryland. The three-vehicle accident involving a pick-up truck, Toyota Prius, and a Dodge Journey that resulted in fatality took place at mile marker 6 of Interstate 68 westbound on Monday, November 22, 2021, says responding authorities.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a 51-year-old Meyersdale was operating a pick-up truck southbound in the westbound lane when he collided with a Toyota Prius and a Dodge Journey. Following the collision, the man sustained serious injuries and was transported via ambulance to Ruby Memorial Hospital in critical condition where he passed from the injuries he sustained. The drivers of two other vehicles were also transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital with unknown degrees of injuries.
No other information was released. The crash remains under investigation.
