Marco Marin critically injured in East-Central El Paso bike accident

25-year-old Marco Antonio Marin has been identified by officials as the man that was seriously hurt following a motorcycle accident that happened on Monday night. The two-vehicle accident happened around 9 p.m. close to the intersection of Hawkins Boulevard and Gateway Boulevard East in East-Central El Paso, Texas.

According to officials, Arnoldo Morales, 54, was operating a 2011 Chevy Silverado northbound on Tony Lama street, nearing the intersection of Hawkins Boulevard. At the same time, Marin was operating his motorcycle southbound on Tony Lama street. Morales then made a left turn in front of the motorcycle and collided with the motorcycle.

Following the collision, Marin suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported by Fire Medical services to University Medical Center in critical condition. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.  No information was released about the Chevy driver. Authorities attributed the accident to Morales’s failure to yield to the right way.
